Khan’s Acting Career
Khan stepped into the industry as a child actor in the movie ‘Yaadon Ki Baarat’ (1973) directed by his uncle Naseer Hussain. As an adult, he got his first lead opposite Juhi Chawla in ‘Qayamat Se Qaymat Tak’ in 1988 which became a blockbuster hit of that era and Khan became every girl’s crush. Since then, he never looked back and gave superhit to his audiences such as Dil (1990), Raja Hindustani (1996), Sarfarosh (1999), Lagaan (2001) and the list goes on.
For the past few years, Aamir has been a part of movies which share a social message and directly touch the audience’s hearts like Taare Zameen Par (2007) which showcases the problem of Dyslexia, 3 Idiots (2009) encourages students to follow their dreams, Dangal (2016) based on Phoghat’s sister’s journey & Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) which is a remake of Hollywood movie Forrest Gump.
Aamir exchanged his vows with Reena Dutta back in the year 1986 who played a small part in his debut movie Qayamat se Qayamat Tak. Dutta was by him through his career as she was a producer briefly during Lagaan. The couple has been blessed with two children: Junaid Khan & Ira Khan.
Due to unknown reasons, in Dec 2002 Khan filed for Divorce and with a mutual decision, the couple decided to end their relationship. Dutta took custody of both the kids. But Aamir still shares a special bond with her daughter Ira Khan and uploads photographs on his social media account for his fans.
After ending his relationship with Dutta, Aamir was fortunate to find love a second time with Kiran Rao who was Asst. Director on the sets of Lagaan. On 28th December 2005, they tied the wedding knot. Khan and Rao were also seen chilling with Junaid & Ira many times during movie promotions and sometimes on holidays.
As a couple, they welcomed Azad Rao Khan on 05th Dec 2011 via surrogacy. But love in paradise couldn’t say for long between them. In July 2021, they announced their separation and decided to raise their son as co-parents.

Being a part of controversies for his movies isn’t a new part of Aamir’s professional life. He has been facing hatred towards his movies for many years and now he has been used to it. Nowadays his newly released multi-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is encountering negative statements across the country.
One of the reasons why audiences aren’t supporting Laal Singh Chaddha is because of his statement about ‘growing intolerance‘ in the country in an interview back in the year 2015. Another reason for boycotting Laal Singh Chaddha was due to his last movie PK (2015) in which the majority of scenes hurt Hindu sentiments. The list also adds the reason to boycott the film can be the remake of the classic cult ‘Forrest Gump’. Bollywood lovers are now exhausted with the remakes and now expect something from directors.
