The features of Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana are as follows:

  • Students who scored the highest marks in class 8th will get the benefit of the scheme.
  • To participate in the scheme, candidates belonging to the general category have to score 60% and candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PWD category should score 55% in class 08th.
  • The government will install around 1,200 computers, printers & UPS to promote the digitization idea among the students.
  • Candidates who’ll clear the scholarship exam will be awarded a scholarship price of ₹5,000 which will be directly transferred to their respective bank accounts.

To apply for the scheme, the applicant has to pass some eligibility criteria decided by the state government and those are:

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of the state.
  • The school of the applicant should be recognized under the Delhi government.
  • Applicants must have scored at least 60% in their previous class (8th).

Delhi Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana Application Process

Individual candidates cannot enrol themselves for the scholarship, so it will be the school’s responsibility to get their students registered for the yojana, so the steps to get registered for the scheme are:

  • Go to DOE’s official website (edudel.nic.in).
  • Press the ‘Click Here to Login’ option.
  • The DELE Login page will get open.
  • Enter the details asked on the page like User ID, Password & Captcha Code.
  • Then tick on ‘Login’ and a new web page will get open.
  • Under the section of ‘School Plant’, tap on the ‘Scholarship’ box.
  • On a web page, select the ‘Application Form’ given under the drop-box of ‘School information entry form’.
  • The application form will be visible on your screen.
  • Submit the blank sections with the details asked such as:
    • Personal Details: Candidates Name, DOB, Gender, Parents Name/ Guardian’s Name, Address, Mobile No and Email Address.
    • Educational Details: School Name, Board/Council, Marks scored in class 8th.
    • Upload Documents: After submitting the required details, upload the scanned passport-size image, marksheet of class 08th, category and birth certificate.
  • After getting done with the submission of details and uploading all the needed documents, tick on the ‘Submit’ option and your application form will be submitted.

Post Process

After the submission of the application forms, the authorities of the Directorate of Education will shortlist those application forms which were submitted as per the notification norms and will send the examination roll number along with the name of the examination centre allotted to them. With the help of a roll number, candidate can download their respective exam admit card and appear in the examination. The examination pattern will contain two parts, i.e., Part I: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) & Part II: Mental Ability Test (MAT), and all the examinees must clear both parts.

The qualifying marks for General/OBC & EWS candidates is 40% in each part and for SC/ST/PWD candidates is 32% in each part. The final list of qualified candidates will be prepared on a merit basis as per the quota recommended for the scholarship.

Candidates whose names will be visible in the scholarship list will be provided with the incentive amount which will be directly transferred to their bank account. In case, the applicant didn’t receive their incentive amount then they can contact their school administration.
