GATE Answer Key 2023 Objections

The authorities will also release the question papers along with the answer key of GATE 2023. If in case any candidates will have any objections to the answers then he/she can submit the objections between 22nd Feb 2023-25th Feb 2023.

Applicants will have to make a payment of Rs. 500 per challenge. Candidates will have to produce the documents to support their challenge. If in case any challenge is found right then the officials will revise the answer key of GATE 2023 and then they will again release it after revision. 

GATE 2023 Response Sheet

The authorities will release the GATE response sheet 2023 on 15th Feb 2023 via online method. This sheet will be released for every candidate and it has all the answers marked by candidates in the exam. To access this response sheet you will have to follow the below-given instruction;

  1. Go to gate.iitk.ac.in and enter your enrollment id/e-mail id and password.
  2. The dashboard will appear on the screen, click on the “view responses” button given on the dashboard.
  3. And your response sheet will appear on the screen.

Steps to Download the GATE Official Answer Key

Steps to Calculate Probable Marks In GATE 2023

  • Firstly you will have to calculate the total number of correct answers.
  • Now allocate marks according to the right answers and then calculate the overall marks.
  • To calculate the negative marks in the exam first calculate all the wrong attempts. You can skip the NAT questions with wrong answers as there is no negative marking for NAT questions. The Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only have the procedure of negative marking. 
  • Now to get the expected score follow this formula; The total marks = Total marks secured for a correct response – Negative marks for a wrong response

Marks Calculation For MCQ questions is as follows;

  • For correct 2 marks question – add 2 marks
  • For incorrect 2 marks questions – deduct 2/3 marks
  • For the correct 1-mark question – add 1 mark
  • For incorrect 1-mark questions – deduct 1/3 mark.

Marks Calculation For NAT questions is as follows;

  • For correct 2 marks question – add 2 marks
  • For incorrect 2 marks questions – deduct 0 marks
  • For the correct 1-mark question – add 1 mark
  • For incorrect 1-mark questions – deduct 0 marks.

Process to challenge GATE 2023 Answer Key

To raise an objection on any answer given in the provisional answer key of the GATE exam 2023 the candidates will have to follow the below-given steps;

  1. First of all, you will have to visit the official GOAPS website and press the “Contest against Answer Keys” button given on the page.
  2. Now you will be redirected to the login page where you will have to enter your username and password to log in. 
  3. As the next step, you will have to select the question against which you have an objection. It is also a must to upload a document file proving your claim against the answer.
  4. Now, the web page will be redirected to the payment gateway. As per the process, you will have to make the payment of Rs. 500 online modes (per challenge). For NRI candidates, the fee is US $10. The fee will not be returnable.
  5. It is a must to upload all the necessary supporting documents in the prescribed format before submitting the objection.
