IPL 2022 Team Players List

The IPL 2022 player auction list is out with a grand total of 590 players under the hammer during the two-day auction in Bengaluru. Out of 590 players, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players (debutant players) and 07 belong to Associate Nations. Many teams released their players and will try to buy them again during the auction. The franchisees will also be bidding to have some of the biggest cricketing names like Faf du Plessis, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Holder, Dwayne Bravo, Shakib Al Hasan, Wanindu Hasaranga, etc. in their squad.

IPL 2022 Player Retention

The window to retain the players for their franchisees for IPL 2022 was closed on 30th Nov 2021 and with the salary cap of ₹90 crores available at the mega auction for each team, the eight franchises were eligible to retain 04 players with a maximum of 3 Indians, 02 Overseas and 02 Uncapped Indians. ₹2 crore is the highest reserve price and as many as 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this bracket. There are 20 players on the auction list with a reserve price of ₹1.5 crores while 34 players are on the list of cricketers with a reserve price of ₹1 crore.
