The JKPSC CCE Mains exam will contain ‘Written Test’ & ‘Personality Test’ (Interview). The details about the Written Test is given below:

  • Qualifying Paper (English): 300 marks.

    • Paper I (Essay): 250 marks.
    • Paper II (General Studies-I): 250 marks.

  • The J&K CCE Mains exam will be held at Srinagar and Jammu for which candidates will be given an option to choose between one of them.
  • The examination shall be conducted by the Commission according to the provisions of JKPSC (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2005.
  • The dates & places for the examination will be decided by the Commission and it will not get changed under any circumstances.
  • The Commission must schedule the exams after 15 days completion of the UPSC Civil Services exam at every stage.
  • JKPSC will not pay for the personal expenses of the candidate who is appearing in the exam.
  • The examination should be held at the government schools/universities established in the state.
  • The Principal/Chairman of the school/university have to look after all the arrangements on the examination day.

Some measures which all the applicants have to remember on the exam venue are as follows:

  • Attempt to approach at exam venue at least 40 minutes before the real time mentioned on the admit card.
  • After arriving at the centre, make sure that you’ve carried your admit card, government id, colored passport size photograph for cross-verification.
  • Before entering the examination hall, follow the Covid-19 protocols by covering face with mask, sanitizing hands, social distancing and giving body temperature.
  • For attendence either your signature will be taken/image will be captured and the left thumb impression will also be taken by the invigilators.
  • Sit on the seat assigned to you as per your roll number/registration number.
  • Don’t try to argue with the invigilator, otherwise it may lead the candidate in trouble.
