Eligibility for MNREGA Registration
Check the basic eligibility conditions which are to be fulfilled by applicants before applying for the job card mentioned below-
- Applicants must be living in a rural household of the country as this scheme is only for rural India.
- Registration is open for both male and female candidates.
- Applicants must be local residents of the Gram Panchayat they are applying in.
- The minimum age of job cardholders should be 18 years.
- No special skills are required by the applicants for employment provided under the scheme as these are basically unskilled manual jobs.

- Households in rural location desiring to seek employment can register themselves and obtain Job card.
- There is no particular timing for registration. Eligible households can register through the year.
- For registration one has to submit an application on a plain paper at the Local Gram Panchayat.
- Applicants have to provide all the information in the application form.
- In case if any candidate is not able to submit application in plain paper they can visit the concerned Gram Panchayat office and ask orally for registration.
- They have to provide all the information mentioned in the application form.
- Applicants have to provide required documents along with the application process.
- Applicants should only include the names of the family members who are above the age of 18 years.
- Application forms for Job card registration can also be filled by visiting the CSC centers. These applications submitted at CSC are then forwarded to concerned GPs.
- There is no online registration facility directly for applicants. However, the registration process is completed through the concerned officials at GP in online mode.
- On successful registration, each applicant is issued a unique registration number.
- Registration for job card is valid for a period of 5 years. After the validity period, applicants can renew their registration.
- Applications received are then verified and job cards are issued.
- Job card issued to each households are handed to any of the member of the beneficiary household.
- Complete information about the Act along with the entitlements workers are printed on the reverse the Job cards.

Verification
After the application for registration, the concerned GP has to verify the documents and each information furnished in the application form. GP has to verify the household, check whether the applicants are locals or not, the age of the applicants etc.
After successful verification, each household is issued a Job card. Households have to keep the job card with them. No applicant is charged for the issue of a job card as it is completely free. One must check entries mentioned on the job card carefully. If there is any discrepancy in the job card entries then candidates must contact the concerned GP. In case a job is lost, the applicant can also apply for a new job card following the same process mentioned above.

Those who registered for a job card can check the job card list online. Follow the given steps to access the MNREGA Job card-
- Visit the official portal of MNREGA first. You can also get the link given below.
- On the homepage, click on “Job Cards” link given under the “Reports” link.
- The list of all the state will open. Select respective state link.
- Select Financial year, district, block and panchayat from the dropdown menu. Click on “Proceed” button.
- Select the respective job card no.
- Finally, job card of the selected id will open.
