Navodaya Class 6 Admission 2: The last date to submit JNVST Class 6 application is extended by the authority till 8th Feb 2023. Earlier the application closing date was 31st Jan 2023. So those who ave have not completed their application form may submit it by the notified date. Students who wish to study in the prestigious Navodaya Vidhyalaya can now get themselves registered for the entrance exams. An aspirant has to go through a test to check if they are eligible and meritious enough to be entitled to be admitted to the NVS academy. Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalayas (JNVs) are run by the Navodaya Vidhyalaya Samiti (NVS) since 1986. The NVS works for the betterment of the children born in rural areas, who neither have the money nor resources to attain proper education. The JVS are free-of-cost schools where the students are residents for as long as they complete their studies. The students do not have to pay any allowances for their accommodation, food or tuition fee.

JNVST Class 6 Admission Eligibility Criteria

A candidate should ensure these criteria before applying for the Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test. The prospectus relating to the standards and procedure will also be provided at the end of the article. Read these criteria to know if your application will be eligible or not. Those who will not be suitable will be notified about their application status on their registered mobile number.

  • Candidates applying for the Navodaya Class 6 Admission should be residents of the district for which they have candidature.
  • They should be studying in class 5th for the session of 2022-23.
  • They should complete their class 5 from the same government or government-recognised school by the end of the session.
  • The age of the applicant should be 9-11 years, (Not born before 1st May 2011 and after 30th April 2013)
  • Candidates are not allowed to appear for the NVST twice under any condition.

If you wish to be a part of the Navodaya School you should check whether there is a Navodaya Vidhyalaya in your district or not. There are approximately 649 NVS in the country, in 27 states and 8 UTs. Check out the table given below to see if you meet the eligibility of residing in the same district of the JNV.

Apart from these 649 there are a few more Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya. They are not categorised here as they are specially meant for reserved categories. The concentration of children belonging to the Scheduled castes and scheduled tribes is more on these special JNVs.

Mark that, only a maximum of 80 students can be seated in a class of JNV.

How to apply for JNVST Class 6 Admission 2023?

The procedure to apply for the Navodaya Class 6 Admission 2023 is very simple. The steps for the same have been given below:

  • Visit the official website of the Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
  • On the home page of the NVS, a notification will be displayed.
  • The announcement will be related to admission to class 6th for the academic year 2023-24.
  • Click the link for the online application.
  • The page for the online application will open up on your screen.
  • Another tab, “click here for class 6th registration“, will be there.
  • This tab will redirect you to the Admission application.
  • You will be required to fill in all the details in the blanks.
  • Questions will be asked to check the eligibility of the applicant.
  • After filling in all the details and entering the aadhaar number, you have to hit the enter button from the keyboard, as submit option is not available on the page.
  • After the registration, documentation will follow.
  • Submit all the documents in their authentic and formatted manner.
  • No fee is charged for the application for NVS admission.

Documents Required in JNVST Class 6 Application

The documents required for admission to the Jawahar Navodaya Application form are delivered below. Before applying, ensure the documents are in hand and in proper condition.

All the documents should be submitted in size 10- 100 kb in (.JPG) format.

  • A latest passport-size photograph of the students.
  • The digital form of signature of both, the parent and the student.
  • Aadhaar card number.
  • Address certifying documents approved by the government.
  • The principal of the school, from where the student is studying class 5, should verify the certificate in which all these students’ details are mentioned in a proper format.
  • Candidates who applied under the National Institute of Open learning should upload the B certificate for the NIOS.

Application fee of JNVST Class 6 Application

Since the Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya is a mission of upliftment of the children lacking resources in the rural areas, there is no application fee to submit the JNVST Class 6 Application. Applicants do not require to pay any amount to fill out the application form.

What all to carry on the JNVST exam day?

On the exam date of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test, the students should not forget to carry their admit card and aadhaar card as identity proof. Applicants shall not be allowed to enter without the validation of their NVST admit card. The students should carry a blue or black ballpoint pen to the exam halls. The students should report at the exam centre before 11 am to avoid confusion. No students will be allowed to leave the exam room during the examination. The test will be for 2 hours, which is from 11: 30 am to 1: 30 pm.
