PSSB Clerk Post Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria help in finding the desirable candidate for the recruitment process. It is based on the educational background of the person. The authority decided these criteria by keeping in mind all the important roles and responsibilities of the job position. The eligibility criteria for the clerk-cum-data entry operator and the legal clerk are different. We have discussed all of the important requirements. Educational Qualification

  • Passes 10th standard Punjabi as per the Punjabi Common Conditions Rules, 1994
  • Must have completed graduation in Law from a known university/Institute
  • Should fulfil any of the following conditions:
    • 120 hours course in Personal Computer or Information Technology either in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing applications. The course certificate should be from a recognized institute
    • Computer IT course which should be equivalent to the ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course)
  • Should be able to write thirty words per minute in Punjabi and English typing.

Clerk cum Data Entry Operator

Educational Qualification

  • Passes 10th standard Punjabi as per the Punjabi Common Conditions Rules, 1994
  • It is mandatory for the candidate to have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institute.
  • Should fulfil any of the following conditions:
    • 120 hours course in Personal Computer or Information Technology either in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing applications. The course certificate should be from a recognized institute
    • Computer IT course which should be equivalent to the ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course)
  • Should have a typing speed of thirty words per minute in Punjabi and English typing.

Age Criteria

  • The candidate must be older than 18 years
  • General categories candidates should not be more than 37 years old
  • The Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes of the state provide relaxation in the upper age limit. The maximum age limit is decided to be 42 years
  • Likewise, the State and Government employee’s maximum age limit is 45 years
  • The age of the Ex-servicemen is in accordance with the Punjab Recruitment of Ex-servicemen Rules, 1982.

Required Documents to fill PSSSB Clerk Application Form
