As per the reports, a huge number of candidates protested against the inaccurate results in the Railway NTPC Group D Level I exam and also tried to destroy the Railway properties which were not appreciated by the Board. The applicants who appeared in the CBT examination for the post of NTPC & Group D Level I have some concerns regarding the results which are listed below:

  • The applicants were concerned that there might be discrepanices in the recruitment process and also objected the Cut-Off marks decided by the Board to qualify the CBT Level I examination.
  • The another reason which were concerning the applicant was that the Group D Level I recruitment examination CBT examination was supposed to be held in a single Combuter Based Test (CBT) stage but the sudden announcement by the authority that the CBT stage 2 will be also be conducted for the post panicked the candidates because they will not get enough time to prepare themselves for the examination.

Response from the Railways

The Railway Minister requests the candidates not to take the law into their hands and if any applicants who were found indulged in the unlawful activities have to face serious results like they may face the lifetime debarment from obtaining any Railway job. The authorities of RRB decided to suspend the CBT 2 level exam and also invited the applicants to submit their concerns & suggestions through the application forms which should be submitted in a systematic and precise format.

After the protest, the Member of Parliament Sushil Kumar Modi scheduled the meeting with the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw where it was decided that the RRB CBT 2 exam has been postponed and also decided that only one CBT exam will be conducted instead of two tests and 3.5 lakhs must be qualified under the ‘One Candidate-Unique Result’ system. After listening to the demands, Vaishnaw made sure that the pointers will be considered while preparing the final result on the RRB Group D recruitment format.
