Bollywood actor, Sonu Sood has gained an immense amount of love and gratitude from the thousands of migrant workers who had been stuck due to the nationwide lockdown due to the lethal coronavirus pandemic. He has extended his helping hands and managed to let them reach their native states and meet their families. Expanding his horizons, he established Sood Charity Foundation to continue serving those in need. This foundation is an initiative to encourage people to join hands amidst such unprecedented times of the COVID-19 outbreak and serve humanity.

One such initiative by the Sood Charity Foundation is SAMBHAVAM in collaboration with the Divine India Youth Association (DIYA), Delhi. It is a scholarship scheme to provide a free IAS coaching facility to academically excellent but poor UPSC aspirants across the country. Apart from that, mentorship support and personality development sessions will also be provided to the selected students.

Amidst the global pandemic and a continued upsurge in the reported cases of afflicted coronavirus, Sonu Sood has turned out to be a silver lining for needy citizens. He has not only helped the stuck migrant workers, but also initiated various campaigns to provide better education, employment opportunities, and healthcare facilities.

On September 11, the 2nd edition of the SAMBHAVAM Free IAS Scholarship notification was released. It is a free coaching program to guide UPSC aspirants to crack the civil examination. Besides, zero-cost coaching facilities, it also aims to provide mentorship support and overall personality development of the aspiring scholars of the nation. Consequently, opening a wide range of new possibilities to build a powerful nation.

SAMBHAVAM IAS Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Sonu Sood Free IAS Coaching Scholarship Scheme is for all the UPSC civil exam aspirants of the nation. However, the following is the list of some of the basic eligibility norms that must be met by the applicants to be able to enrol themselves for the classes.

• The scheme applies only to UPSC aspirants across the nation.
• Applicants must have at least cleared the intermediate-level examination with good grades.
• The scholarship will only be granted to academically excellent students.
• The applying aspirants must belong to deprived and impoverished households.
• He/ She must produce significant paperwork regarding the economic status of the family.
• All the academic certificates must be genuine and submitted while applying.
• Apart from the students, working/ business professionals/ self-employed aspirants are entitled to apply for the benefits of the scholarship programme.

Note:- Succesful submission of the SAMBHAVAM Scholarship Scheme application after satisfying the eligibility standards does not guarantee the enrolment of the applicant.

How to apply for the SAMBHAVAM Sonu Sood Scholarship Scheme?

All interested UPSC aspirants will be able to apply for the Sonu Sood IAS Scholarship Scheme 2024 through the official website of the Sood Charity Foundation. In the following section, we have mentioned the step-by-step procedure to successfully register and apply for the said scheme.

Step I:- First of all, the aspirants need to visit the official website of the Sood Charity Foundation i.e., https://soodcharityfoundation.org/. The following screen will open as shown in the picture below.

Step II:- On the top menu bar, click on the “Campaigns” tab. Depicted below.

Step III:- As you click on it, a new page will be displayed. Tap on the “Apply Now” button available at the end of the page.
Step IV:- All the important instructions related to the scheme and its application form will appear. Read them carefully.
Step V:- Scroll down the page and begin filling out the application form. You will need to enter the following list of details:
