Chandan Mahto Sheikhpura Cursory
Of the Ashok Mahto gang, Pintu was the most brutal and dangerous thug. Furthermore, 25 years ago, Bihar was ruled by Ashoka’s gang. Rajav Singh, a Congressman was murdered and BDO was murdered by Real Chandan Mahto in 2005. Although, the absence of evidence led to Pintu’s acquittal in nearly every case.
With over 30 murder and kidnapping cases on his head, gangster Pintu Mahto was always the talk of the town. He and his companions broke out of Nawada’s prison in 2002 to flee as well. Mahto-Singh Rivalry
Over 100 villages in the Bihar districts of Nawada, Nalanda, and Sheikhpura were heavily affected due to conflict between the Mahto Gang and Akhilesh Singh. However, the caste conflict between Bhumihars and Kurmis was the root cause of this rivalry. In 2003, the Mahto gang opened fire on Aruna Devi w/o MLA Akhilesh Singh, and five other people, including a six-year-old boy. According to reports, the killings were carried out as a response to the purported murder of seven labourers by the Akhilesh Singh gang.
Arrests & Trials
The Pintu Mahto a.ka. Chandan Mahato was one of the trusted members of the Ashok Mahto gang. As he was responsible for making the terror in Warisaliganj and Shiekhpura, Nawada district. The Superintendent of Police Ashok Lodha gave all the evidence regarding his involvement in those 30 murders. But due to the support from the ruling party and other politicians, he was easily released from jail.
The release of Pintu Mahto was a slap on the Police Officers slap which didn’t let them sleep & eat peacefully. Their hard work paid off when Chandan Mohta Sheikhpura was arrested in 2005. As per the statement given by IPS Amit Lodha, Pintu Mohta was staying near Satsang Colony, Deoghar Jharkhand along with his family.
