SAI Fit India Quiz 2023
SAI Fit India Quiz is one of the wing initiatives under the Fit India Movement launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in 2019. The movement was started to integrate a physically active lifestyle into the life of people. Now the government is organising a unique national-level quiz for school children. Thus, allowing more youth to join this fitness movement.
This quiz competition is organised by the Sports Association of India and will be based on fitness and sports. The quiz is for the school students to enhance their understanding of sports. Students from all over the states and Union Territories will be able to participate in the event.
As CBSE is a part of the quiz competition, a notification has been generated by the board to motivate the students to participate in the competition. There will be online rounds for the competition as well as broadcast rounds to select the winners. So, it is a great opportunity for the students to showcase their knowledge of sports and fitness. It will also help in creating awareness in the youth population of the country.

The authorities organising the competition have also set up a prize for different levels of the winner. The prizes for the winners will be in the form of prize money. All the participating schools, as well as students, will get this prize money. The budget has been allocated for the same by the government. About 3.5 crores of overall prize money will be distributed under the competition.

SAI Fit India Quiz Rounds
The Quiz of Fit India will consist of a total of four rounds in which the competition will be completed. The rounds will be held at both the state level as well as the national level. We are summarising all these rounds below to make them easier to understand.
Round 1: This round will be at the level of the school. All the schools under the affiliation of CBSE will select students from their respective schools. Participating schools are required to register at least two students at a minimum while there is no limit on the maximum number of students from one school. These students will be the participants in the Quiz competition.
Round 2: The second round of the competition will be a Preliminary round for the further selection of the participants. This round will be conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). In this round, the authorities will announce runner-ups for the round and shortlisted students will be selected to participate in the next round.
Round 3: This round will be around at the State/ Union Territory level. The competition at this level will be quite strong. In this round also winners will be selected who will compete in the Quiz at the National level. Runner-ups for the round will also are declared by the authorities conducting the competition.
Round 4: The last round will be the final round of the competition and the ultimate winner of the competition will be announced. This level of the quiz will be conducted on a National Level platform and will be telecasted over the National Sports channel and Star Sports. Winners shortlisted in the previous round will participate in this round to win the competition.

SAI Fit India Quiz Registration 2023
Registration for the quiz will is currently active on the official web portal of the authorities. So, all the schools who are willing to participate can give in their application for participation. Applications will be available on the official website of the authority. Applicants will have to apply through the online website portal of Fit India only.
Participants in the quiz competition will also have to pay an application fee to be a part of the competition. As the applicants fill in the application through the website, fee payment will also be done through the Fit India portal only. The application fee for the SAI Fit India Quiz competition is Rs. 250/-. It is essential to pay this application fee to complete your application.
SAI Fit India Quiz Eligibility
As the official guidelines have not yet been specified by the authorities regarding the criteria of eligibility, there are no standard criteria for participation. Although the basic criteria for the competition are given below.
- The participant student must be a school student.
- The student must preferably be a student above Class 8th or more.
- A participating school must be affiliated with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
SAI Fit India Quiz Syllabus
The students and schools who are about to participate in this Quiz competition must essentially know the syllabus. As the quiz competition is one of a kind so is the concept of which questions will be framed. Some of the themes and topics to be covered in the competition are:
- Traditional Sports, Games, History of Indian Sports, Yoga, Famous Personalities, Popular games, etc.
- Fitness-related topics, Traditional fitness methods of India.
- Game competitions like Commonwealth Games, KheloIndia Games, Asian Games, Olympics, etc.
In addition to this, the competition will also consist of image-based questions, and audiovisual, and audio-video recognition rounds at the National and State level. Image-based questions will also be under the preliminary rounds as well. Buzer rounds will also be a part of the competition.
Apart from this, the quiz competition will also consist of some innovative rounds under the competition like ‘phone a teacher/ parent‘. Basically to make the competition fun and engaging to the viewers.

The authorities have organised the application for the competition through online mode. Application for the competition will be submitted by the respective schools. Students will have to select the students and do the application for them. Participants’ schools just need to register before the last date already specified by the authorities. To apply online, you can follow these steps:
- Visit the official web portal of Fit India @fitindia.gov.in.
- On the home page of the portal, applicants will have to look for the Fit India Quiz application form.
- Click on the available link to the application form.
- Insert all the details essential to register for the quiz competition.
- After entering all the details, pay the application fee.
- You will be registered for the competition.
Important Points
- The quiz will be available to the students in 13 languages including Hindi and English. The other languages medium will be Punjabi, Gujarati, Odiya, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Assamese, Urdu and Marathi.
- The quiz by NTA will be MCQ based test consisting of 45 questions and will be for one hour. There will be a negative marking in this level for each question answered wrong.
- There will be only about 8 to 32 schools that will participate in the state-level round of the competition.

Frequently Asked Questions
The authorities are offering registration to the students with a registration fee of Rs. 250/- only.
As the quiz competition is entirely based on sports and fitness, the quiz competition may include question-related in the fields of Yoga, traditional Indian sports, Khelo India, Sports History, the Olympics, etc.
Any school interested to be a part of the competition must select a minimum of two students to participate in the competition. Schools can make an application for as many students as preferred, no maximum limit is there.
